Thank you Rich Holt of Greenstone Materials for sponsoring Kyra's vest in loving memory of San Jacinto PD K9 Sultan, EOW 01-21-2015.

The vest we gave K9 Sultan was a size too large for K9 Kyra, who weighs in at a feisty, fifty pounds.

Sultan leaped at the chance to defend his partner.

Without a command, he crawled under a house and was taken by surprise.

Shot in the neck and dead on arrival a few minutes later at the hospital, he died a true K9 Hero.

Sultan gave his life to save his partner, and we salute his sacrifice.

Your donation truly helps protect the dogs who lay down their lives to protect us.

Status: Added May 2012. We gave a bulletproof K9 Armor vest to Arthur in December 2012.

November 2012 we received a generous donation of $3500 from the Freda B Runyon Foundation.

They asked us to do the greatest good for the greatest number, to donate to the dogs who need it most. Most people specify only for their local K9, we are especially grateful to the Board of Directors of the Foundation when they allow us to help those dogs who continue to face danger until we find a sponsor.

We applied $875 to donate a vest to K9 Arthur and to their second K9 Zeus. Mariposa is quite remote and difficult to do fundraisers or find local sponsors, we rely on the generosity of the Board of Directors of the Foundation to support our work protecting all the dogs we can reach.
